About National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) Syllabus

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) was established in 1992 by the National Board for Education Measurement (NBEM). It was created because of the need for a credible and reliable examination body to assess and certify skills and competencies in technical and vocational education.

Over the years, NABTEB has evolved into a leading examination body in Nigeria and conducts examinations in business, technical, and vocational fields. The NABTEB’s examinations are designed to test your practical knowledge and hands-on skills and this makes them highly relevant for all who wish to pursue careers in technical and vocational fields.

The certifications awarded by NABTEB are recognized nationally and internationally and provide opportunities for candidates to further their education or enter the job market with the necessary skills and confidence. This means that with your NABTEB results, you can further your education at the university or start up a side trade in your preferred choice of business.

Your NABTEB results can also make a good substitute for your WAEC results in some schools abroad so if you want to study abroad and you couldn’t write WAEC, then writing and getting good grades in your NABTEB examinations.

If you’re looking for an exam with a strict and well-detailed exam process, then you’re looking at NABTEB. This body ensures the integrity and quality of technical and vocational education in Nigeria.

Steps to Excel in your NABTEB Examination

To excel in your NABTEB examinations, you should take the following steps:

  1. Start preparing early and create a study schedule. Two weeks is not enough to cover all the topics in the syllabus. Start reading months before the exam so you can be fully prepared when the time comes.
  2. Study with both the recommended syllabus and the past questions booklet. These two resources should be your go-to materials during the exam period. Regular practice with your past questions will help you become familiar with the format of the subjects.
  3. Whenever you encounter a topic you don’t understand, ask questions and seek clarification.
  4. Practice how to manage your time for all subjects. You can use your past questions and a timer for this.
  5. Finally, on the day of the exam, review your answers before submitting. This is why you need to know how to manage time. Always make sure you have enough time after every exam to go through your answers before you submit.
