Machine woodwork teaches students woodworking using various machines and tools, and the Lagos State Unified Scheme of Work provides a structured education in this subject.
Students learn about different types of wood and their properties, helping them choose the right materials for projects, and they equally spend a lot of time in workshops, applying what they learn to real projects. This hands-on experience helps them develop the technical skills and confidence needed to use machinery safely and effectively. They learn to use tools like saws, planers, routers, and sanders and master techniques such as joinery, laminating, and veneering.
