The Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA) is an integration of Music, Visual Arts, Drama, and Dance in which a student is expected to grow alongside the cultural heritage of his people.
In junior secondary schools, cultural and creative arts education helps students explore their creativity and learn about different types of art, like music, painting, acting, and dancing. It is a way for them to express themselves and discover their cultural heritage.
Through these activities, students not only develop important skills but also get to understand more about themselves and the world they live in. They also learn and appreciate the many ways people express themselves through art.
In junior secondary schools, how students are assessed in cultural and creative arts can differ from school to school. However, typically, they are evaluated through tests or quizzes (Continuous Assessment Tests), practical exercises, and end-of-term exams.
Grading usually follows a scale from A to F, with A representing excellent performance, typically scoring around 70% or 80%, and F indicating failure, usually below 50% or 40%.
