Home » Primary 5 Scheme of Work » Primary 5 National Value Education (NVE) Scheme of WorkNational Values Education is a subject that instils moral and national values in the pupils through selected topics and activities suitable for their age and class. The subject comprises three broad subjects; Civic Education, Social Studies, and Security Education.
Each of these subjects has its topics and what they aim to achieve at the end of the academic session.
Some of the topics treated in the National Values Education for Primary 5 include; Unity in cultural diversity, types of personal security, the process of changing culture and difference, loyalty, qualities of a good leader, government, pressure group, personal security and child’s right law.
By the end of the academic session, the educators should make sure the pupils can maintain safety rules at home and school, identify types of government and the arms of government, list the security agents, and track down behaviours that could lead to threats to avoid punishment.
