About History Scheme of Work for Primary 2

History is usually taught in primary school to educate the pupils about the origin and history of the state that it is being taught. It also tells the pupils about the indigenous people of the towns, the major towns in the state, traditional rulers, and notable rulers and heroines.

This scheme will use Lagos as its focus. The topics to be treated include: History of Lagos state, indigenous people of Lagos state, location of the indigenous people of Lagos state, the pre-colonial settlers of Lagos, indigenous occupation and mode of transportation in Lagos, major towns in Lagos, heroes and heroines in Lagos state, and major title holders in Lagos state etc.

These topics are treated to make the pupils conversant with the origin of their state and build them to be a future historian.
