Home Economics is a subject that equips pupils with the basic skills needed to manage their homes effectively. It enlightens the pupils on their expected roles in the society. It also trains the pupils in basic home management skills.
Some of the topics covered in this class include; Family, roles of each family member and functions of the family, family relationships and family tree, identification of simple cooking tools and equipment, guidelines for use of cooking tools and equipment, simple sewing tools and equipment, basic stitches, sewing processes and care of personal belonging.
