Information Technology is a subject that equips the pupils on digital literacy, the pupils would be exposed to the digital world, in the previous classes they were introduced to computers and how to use them. In this class, they would be introduced to more complex digital words like cyberbullying, email, digital literacy etc.
Some of the topics covered in this class include; Keyboard shortcuts, introduction to internet networking, internet browser, types of virtual based programming languages, types of text based programming languages, introduction to web and application development, search engine, understanding electronic mail, digital literacy, cyber bullying etc.
At the end of this academic session the educator should ensure that the pupils are able to; Make use of the shortcuts on the keyboard, understand the concept of networking, internet and search engines, understand electronic mails and internet safety, have insight on the following concepts; Digital literacy, cyberbullying and digital skills etc.
